Secretary Wu visits the American Job Center

Maryland Department of Labor Portia Wu recently visited the American Job Center in Salisbury, one of the largest centers in the state.

The Lower Shore American Job Center and its workforce partners, Lower Shore Workforce Alliance and Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland serve residents and small businesses in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.

This unique collaboration provides access to job search resources, and participants can also access transportation and childcare to support their professional pursuits while on-site at the AJC.

Job seekers and employers can benefit from mobile services and in-person services like industry training programs, self-paced digital literacy classes and IT certifications, résumé preparation, recruitment assistance, and virutal training simulations for businesses looking to employ locally for leading local sectors.
